Eeny, meeny, miny, moe which one do I choose. I don’t know. There are so many choices.
People don’t need to choose you because there are so many options. And yet so many business owners try to get people’s attention by telling them about the facts. They talk about features, specs, how much experience they have or how long they’ve been in business.
It’s not easy to get people’s attention so why make it harder?
The problem is that people don’t buy with their heads. Instead, they buy with their hearts and justify their choice with the facts. To attract attention you need to speak to the heart. Speak to their aspirations, dreams, and desires. Then help them justify their choice using facts and how these facts help them achieve what they are after.
People don’t care about what you offer until they feel that you care about them.
What are you doing that tells people you care about them? That you understand them? That you see them? That you have their best interest at heart? What are you doing to accomplish this?
People want to matter. People want to be treated like people. They want to feel compassion, interest, caring, and concern.
Once people can see that you care they’ll care about you. Once they see that you understand them they’ll stop ignoring you. They’ll start paying attention when they see that they matter to you.
Get clear about what your ideal clients care about. Get clear about what drives your ideal client. Get clear about what problem you solve for your ideal client. Do this and you will make it so much easier for the right people to see and then choose you.
Do you need to make some adjustments so it’s easier for people to choose you? Start with getting clear on what really matters to your ideal client. Then incorporate that into your messaging so the right people will see that you understand them.
