There are a couple of devilish ideas that have infiltrated the minds of many business owners. It goes something like this; if more people knew about my business I’d be successful.
Having lots of people know about your business isn’t enough. What matters is being right for the right people.
But come on I just want more clients! I’ve been there but it’s not what I really wanted.
The other idea that trips up many business owners is trying to appeal to everyone. It’s fear that tries to get you to appeal to everyone. Fear tries to tell you that if you focus your business on a specific client type, you won’t have enough clients and your business will fail.
The solution is not thousands and thousands of people knowing about your business. It’s about the right people being able to resonate with your business. It’s about people being able to connect with what you do and how you will serve them. It’s about people being able to sense and feel how your service will transform their lives, or at least improve their lives.
What kind of people do you want to resonate with your business? How will you communicate to them so they can pick you out of the crowd?
