Stop and think about this statement. What we have is often a reflection of how we view the world. It’s the concept of how the inside colors the outside. Having a sense of scarcity about life means we live it because we produce it in the world around us. If you are feeling a sense of lack in your life, it may be an indication that you should turn up the dial on your gratitude. I’ll point you toward a tool that can help you in a moment.
Gratefulness is a positively powerful emotion that can help you enjoy what you have. When we are in a state of scarcity, we can often feel that abundance is the solution. However I believe abundance is the opposite of scarcity, and neither is a great option. Enough is all you need. When we can be satisfied with enough, we won’t be stuck in the trap of trying to accumulate more. Enough is a place of peace and satisfaction. When you are satisfied, you can enjoy the world around you. It gives you space to think, love, live and create.
Ponder how you relate to scarcity, abundance and enough. If you feel you don’t have enough clients, or if you think your employees aren’t good enough, or you feel you don’t have enough profit I suggest you pause and consider being grateful for what you have. I’m not suggesting that you should settle for status quo and no longer seek to grow and stretch both yourself and your company. Just be satisfied by practicing gratitude than from that place you can move forward and improve profits, employee issues, and attract more clients.
It all starts with you. If you want a better company change, yourself and the world around you including your business will begin to change.
